OPTICS

All Pegasus-equipped Nightsky scopes are fully assembled, critically collimated and tested under field conditions for mechanical and optical quality before they leave the shop. Scopes are tested under field conditions using the Star Test and Ronchi Test. Planetary images (when available) and deep sky objects are evaluated for overall image quality and contrast. Testing also includes all electrical components and Digital Setting Circles (DSC's), if applicable.

* Telescope structures purchased for using mirrors from mass produced Sonotube scopes or with mirrors owned by or sourced from other vendors by the customer will also be fully assembled, collimated and thoroughly tested for mechanical quality.

**NSS does not guarantee the optical quality of customer supplied mirrors or for new mirrors sourced by the customer from vendors other than Pegasus Optics.
